I've been playing Planetside on and off for several years.  I get busy sometimes and let my subscription expire, but I always seem to go back to this game.

The gameplay is complex but simple at the same time.  I can go in during lunch and have a good battle or die a few times.  Basically it involves going to the supply truck or terminal, grab your favorite weapon config and going back out there.

It's for busy people and let's you relieve some stress, but at the same time, you can spend all night playing it and not get bored.  Every other character you see in the game is another person friend or foe.  Your heart races as you plan on how to eliminate them or how to escape when you are outnumbered and outgunned or severely wounded and looking to loot a med kit from a fallen soldier.

I will be uploading some old movies we made way back when, but also planning on making some new ones using this new hardware

I have recently (about a month ago) started playing this game and I'm really enjoying it.

It plays on low end computers as well as taking advantage of the high resolution graphic cards.

The game itself is true to the Lord of the Rings lore according to JRR Tolkien's books (which I've read about 20x).  It can be as involved as some of the other MMORPG's such as World of Warcraft, but you can easily spend a 15-30 minute break online and still feel you accomplished something.

It's really fun, and of course the best part of it is you can play/chat with your friends while running around killin monsters.

I don't know what it is, I may have lost something.... but for some reason, I've grown bored with a lot of my video games.

I used to play a new game and really enjoy it, really be in the game and adventuring, experiencing the thrill of combat, racing, or whatever.

Now it seems that some some games, even those I've enjoyed for years seem to be draining me.  I find myself not playing carefully, getting killed a lot in combat games that I used to be good at and also playing just for the score or the xp.

What happened to the thrill?  What happened to the excitement?
